Rachel Mewes is a curriculum designer and educator. They design curriculum for non-profits, camps, museums, and schools, and they facilitate professional development and political education in a range of settings. Rachel writes and facilitates challenging and critical content, such as addressing archival injustice around the Harlem Renaissance, exploring the impacts of climate change, or teaching sex ed in schools. They hold a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching and a Certificate in Sexuality, Women, and Gender from Teachers College of Columbia University.

Mewes currently works at Rethink Ed as a 6-12 Curriculum Specialist, designing and overseeing the creation of culturally responsive, trauma-informed wellness curriculum. They are also a regular consultant with the Edible Schoolyard Project.
